Abstract

kineTics is the universal execution and transduction controller of the SSCCS stack. It supervises, orchestrates, and bridges all executor types, from software agents to physical signal transducers, hardware actuators, human-machine interfaces, and external systems, unified under a coordinate-based contract protocol.

kineTics is the universal execution and transduction controller of the SSCCS stack. The controller supervises, orchestrates, and bridges every kind of executor, from software agents to physical signal transducers, hardware actuators, human-machine interfaces, and external systems, all unified under a coordinate-based contract protocol.

Layer Position

kineTics supervises executor types; actus manages agent instances. The boundary keeps the controller general:

  • kineTics defines what an executor is: the ontology of executor types under one coordinate-based contract.
  • actus is the hub of the agent type. It manages the lifecycle of any agent, vendor-agnostic; telos is the base system agent instance among them.
  • Signal, hardware, human-machine, and bridge executors are further types under the same supervision.

Executor Types

Executor type Supervised role
agent software agent hub (actus) with agent instances (telos and third-party agents)
signal coordinate receipt and interpretation over Chton(Tagma-Signal), physical emission through Chton
hardware FPGA, robot controllers, and sensor networks
hmi human input into coordinates, system state back to humans
bridge interoperability with external distributed systems
Figure 1: Executor types under kineTics supervision. Every type conforms to the same coordinate-based contract, so a new type adds a supervisor instead of a protocol.

The Contract

The unifying mechanism is a single coordinate-based contract protocol. Commands are addressed by coordinate, and results are deposited as facts in neXus. One contract serves every executor type, so a new executor type adds a supervisor instead of a protocol. The actus to telos wire contract is expressed as an instance of this universal contract.

Integration

kineTics is the execution consumer of the substrate. It addresses through synTagma, records through neXus, materializes through Chton, and transduces through Tagma Signal. The integration surface is where the controller earns its place: execution is wired to state and medium rather than standing apart from them.

Status

Planned. No implementation exists yet. The layer definition, the executor type ontology, and the contract principle are the current deliverables. Building starts at the boundary, as in the rest of the stack: the universal contract first, then the supervisors behind it.

Direction

  • Define the universal coordinate-based contract in the core.
  • Build the agent supervisor (actus) as the first executor type, with telos as the base system agent instance.
  • Follow with signal, hardware, human-machine, and bridge supervisors.
  • Integrate execution with neXus state, Tagma Signal, and Chton materialization.
